There are many factors that the NDIS considers before deciding on your available funding. The support service needs to be reasonable and necessary to help you achieve your goals, purpose, and aspirations.
Cleaning and home maintenance are covered under the Core Supports category and considered as Assistance with Daily Activities. The specifics of your NDIS Plan will determine how you can use the available funds. If you’re not sure if your needs fall under this category, we can help you clarify with the NDIA exactly what is and isn’t covered under your personalised plan under our Support Coordination and Plan Management Services.
You may be confused as to what exactly can be covered by your NDIS Core Supports. The Assistance with Daily Living category covers services that are ultimately reasonable and necessary, and directly related to your disability. This could include any of the following:

- Housekeeping
- In-home laundry
- Gardening
- House maintenance
If you are able to complete these activities while living with your disability, or if any of these services requires you to hire a professional that a person without a disability would also need to hire, then it is not covered by the NDIS.
